All about library resources for anthropologists and anthropological archaeologists

Author: Janet Steins

I am a librarian, now retired after a 42-year career in academic and research libraries (the American Museum of Natural History, SUNY Stony Brook, Iona College, and Harvard University). My undergraduate degree (BA in anthropology from Queens College, CUNY), and my two masters degrees (MS from Columbia University in library science and MA from New York University in anthropology) positioned me to serve for 18 years as collections librarian in Tozzer Library at Harvard, one of the preeminent anthropology research collections in the world, before retiring from there in 2018. This website, still very much a work in progress, reflects my projects and interests both before and after retiring. One of its primary goals is to share my my deep knowledge of the depth and breadth of the Tozzer Library collection with anthropology students and researchers everywhere.
